What changes are we making to prepare for summer camp?
We are meeting daily to review all of our operational policies and procedures and make adjustments to minimize the risk to the health of our campers and staff. We are fine tuning our camper screening policies to keep those with symptoms away from our campus population. We also have adjusted our cleaning policies based on advisement created by the American Camp Association and their contractor Environmental Health & Engineering, Inc. Finally, we are creating systems and schedule that minimize the number of people each camper comes into contact with in order to limit asymptomatic spread.
How will COVID-19 affect my campers experience?
As we wait for more information to come out, we are working diligently to prepare campus the best we can. In short, there will be several changes to the daily schedule and activities of camp, but we are doing all we can to maintain an incredible experience.
Will my camper still get to ski or snowboard the same amount?
We are working with Timberline Resort while they are in the process of creating summer protocols/capacity limits. There could be some changes to the daily ride schedule. More info to come soon.
Will there still be daily skate trips?
We still plan to run off campus skate trips for our Skate Campers, this is of course depending on conditions in each county in Oregon. Independent from COVID-19, based on camper survey results we will be cutting back from daily trips to offer some new skate experiences on campus a few days per session.
What happens if a camper gets COVID-19?
All camps are already mandated to have a Communicable Disease Isolation Plan to handle airborne diseases like the Measels, these plans work very well with COVID-19. We reviewed our plan and it exceeds the standard that is recomeded by the State of Oregon. The major change we have made is upgrading our capcity of isolation space available.
Is my camper required to wear a face mask?
As of right now we strongly recommend that campers bring and wear face masks.
What happens if my session has to be cancelled due to COVID-19?
If we have to cancel a session that your camper is already registered for, we will be offering a camp credit of whatever amount has been paid so far to use in the future. The credit will be good for up to 4 years in the future and can be used towards any of our products and programs.

On Friday, May 15th we received updated guidance on camp operations from Oregon Governor Kate Brown, we will be reviewing the information provided through the weekend and will update the camp community again early next week.
This guidance outlines the rules for operating a day camp for school aged campers this summer, but also briefly states that overnight camps are not permitted to operate at this time. Draft guidance earlier this week included provisions for overnight camps to operate, and the language in Friday’s guidance very clearly states “at this time”. We appreciate your patience while we look to the Governor’s office for clarity on this statement and prepare an update on the status of our overnight camps for release early next week.
We understand that everyone is excited to get back to skiing but this is a very fluid situation with protocol status changing rapidly. We will continue to update this announcement as things develop.In the meantime, stay safe and keep those fingers crossed🤞🏼

We continue to plan for camp to start, as scheduled, on June 14, but with renewed levels of health and sanitation policies in place. Public safety and the safety of our campers and staff is paramount and will be our top priority as we continue into our 31st summer on Mt. Hood.
Over the past month we have been working in partnership with local, state and federal agencies to meet the challenge of the current situation. We are expecting official guidance from the Center for Disease Controls and the American Camp Association in early May. After we have received that guidance we will be able to work with the State of Oregon and Clackamas County to share what our ramp up to summer looks like.
We know It can be difficult to plan ahead in these uncertain times which is why we have decided, from this point forward, to lower our summer camp deposit fee from our standard 25% to 15%.
