Winter/Spring
Windells is the place to experience mind-blowing powder days and endless fun runs. The enormous canyons of Mt. Hood Meadows provides natural halfpipes, wind lips, tree rides and cornice drops all over the mountain. It’s why you see Meadows terrain in all of Mack Dawg’s films. Spring is notorious for big dumps followed by bluebird days, it’s the best time to go build a booter. The winter coaching squad knows all the lines and will take you on expeditions that will leave you breathless.
Winter gives campers a chance to experience Windells in a more personal setting to see how the local crew really rides. With groups of 25 to 40 coed campers, Windells feels like home. Last winter, more girls attended camp then boys.
BOB, the North West largest indoor skatepark, is open every evening for campers to jump on the trampolines, do transfers into the foam pit, or use one of two launch ramps to propel yourself into the foam pit either skateboarding or riding BMX. Our private demo center is stocked full with all the latest snowboard, freeski, skateboard and BMX equipment for 2010. Demo privileges and a wh0le array of activities are included with camp.
“Because winter camps are smaller, the entire staff gets to know every kid,” says year-round local Katia. “Everybody knows everybody, so it’s like a little club.”
Mt. Hood Meadows and Timberline Ski Area are home to some of the most advanced riding in the world. Their parks are among the best in the country, featuring a fully lighted park and pipe at night and multiple high speed quads. You’ll be riding on your very first night at Mt. Hood Ski Bowl, America’s largest night skiing resort. Windells has a working relationship with all three local areas to ensure the best riding experience possible.
Come follow in the footsteps of the world’s best pros, riding Oregon’s finest terrain with Windells professional coaching staff. It will be the time of your life…
