John Shaw is a purebred powder hound that hails from the northwest. Shaw has come to Windells the last two summers to coach snowboarding and give back to the sport he loves so much. You can check him out in YKwii videos, or run into him lapping Alpental and cruising Summit at Snoqualmie’s park, aka Ski Acres.
Our friends at YOGI, just sent over a little edit of some fun times from session 5. YOGI is a leather accessory brand based in Seattle. We caught up with Jonah Owen after session 5, and asked him a couple questions. Check out what he had to say.
Forum’s Austen Sweetin has been hanging around camp for the last couple weeks. When he’s not riding or skating in the Concrete Jungle, Sweetin has been working on some new leather products for YOGI. YOGI is an up and coming brand from Seattle that specializes in leather accessories. It is ran by some good guys that are in the snowboard industry, including Sweetin.
Derrek Lever, or DLev, as he is sometimes known on the internet, is one of the friendliest guys you will ever meet. He’s always smiling, whether he’s making laps on the mountain, or cutting up veggies, helping make a delicious dinner for all of the Windells campers. This summer is Derrek’s second year at camp, and he continues to make friends and turn heads as he laps the Windells park, leaving an impression with every rail he hits. [Read more...]
