Windells Academy Talks Business With Atmosphere

Located on 800 SE Hawthorne Blvd you’ll find a kitschy Portland antique shop filled with furniture plucked right from grandmas living room. Just one flight up is Atmosphere Clothing, a self-described, “Super-fashion Company”. John Prosser, Head of Business Relations, invited Windells Academy students to the warehouse and offered a refreshing perspective on international business.

Bones Wheels

We heard Bones Wheel’s Crew were cruising around the North West shooting film and photos. We thought it would be a good idea to invite them to Windells Campus SkatePark, 55,000 square feet of skate-able terrain, indoor & outdoor. Bones accepted the invitation and the result, a number of phenomenal & known skateboarders took advantage of Windells park and hospitality. Hours of Skating followed up by some Pool, Burgers and A Sodas. Another good day at Windells, good thing we do not tear down campus each and every summer. Check out this edit from the Shrunken Head Skateboard Shop and Jivaro Wheels demo that happened last week here at Windells. Chet Childress has a hammer at :52 (one of those “Chet Moves”) and Andrew Adams has a quite the trick a little after a minute. It’s completely worth it to check out this entire video, you will not regret it. Atmosphere and Windells update!

The guys at Atmosphere do an awesome job of hooking campers up every session with fun activities and rad Atmosphere clothing. During Session 6, they not only held an event on hill, like they do each session, they also met up with the skate campers and hung out, skated and bbq’d.

Windells Session 6 – Skate Update!

The weather has been super nice here in Welches, and the skate park has been poppin’ off. Our boy Sheetz made this edit of what’s been going on the first couple of days on campus. It’s Surface skis week here, and you can see Surface pro Banks Gilberti opening this one up. GNU‘s Forest Bailey has a few hammers up in there as well. Windells employees can be seen throughout the edit. Just wait to see what happens for the end of the week…

1031 Skateboards‘ team rider and Portland local Donovan Rice with a few friends came up and skated the indoor facility here at Windells. Around campus we call it BOB, but it could also be called the Building Out Back. Keep your eyes peeled for a new edit from Skate Windells first thing tomorrow morning. Session 4. Best Bro Cam Edit yet. If you went to the Windells Academy, you would be able to skate this mini-ramp every single day. Windells’ campus is only 40 minutes from downtown Portland, think of how many pros would come through on a rainy Portland day to come skate the campus…
