Scavenger Hunt Take 2: Who Are We? Where Are We?

Here it is. The seecond installment of our Employee Scavenger Hunt. Our staff is amazing. They come from all over the country to live life in Mt. Hood with Windells Camp. Once August starts to slip away, they all eventually have to go back to reality and back to their roots. As winter keeps on trucking, our employees are building parks, taking classes, teaching lessons, and just about everything you can think of to pass the time until summer comes back into our lives.

LA Ski Dazzle Wrap Up

Our sunny trip to LA Ski Dazzle was a blur of excitement and high energy events. We packed four days with clinics, rail jams, contests, and just plain fun. When Windells gets to be on the road, it’s a chance for us to bring the vibes of the “funnest place on earth” out of Oregon and in this case, to the Convention Center in the big city of Los Angeles. We had a blast. Congratulations to Nate Strother, the lucky winner of a FREE SESSION to Windells. Nate is a die hard skier and he killed it in our dryslope rail jam. We can’t wait to see you on campus Nate. Here’s a little taste of what went down during our Cali adventure.

Scavenger Hunt: Rachel Lemons at SkiDazzle Los Angeles

We have released Rachel’s location! Find her at the Windells booth at Ski Dazzle at the Los Angeles Convention Center. She is tall, blonde, and wearing a red and black Saga shirt. Winter Camp is so close we can almost taste the piles of powder and the overflowing hot chocolate. We know that spending time at home is nice, but we also know that spending time at Windells on Mt. Take me back Tuesdays: Summer 2011

It’s hard not to miss summer camp at Mount Hood. Sunny laps through the Windells park, fast-paced skate sessions in the Concrete Jungle, meeting new friends, learning from talented and friendly coaches, and having literally the best time ever. In Case You Missed It: Session 8

In case you missed the Session 8 skate edit, here it is for you now! For one week, campers were lucky enough to have the Concrete Jungle as their home base. Every day is a good day when you wake up to over 50,000 square feet of concrete in your backyard. Watch as these skateboard campers travel through Oregon, visiting all the best skate parks in the Northwest.

Six down, one to go, and still riding down to the parking lot. What a summer it’s been. Session 6 couldn’t have been any better. We had a ton of fun riding the park and sunny skies everyday.

New street section at Windells’ Concrete Jungle sneak peek

We like to keep our concrete fresh here at camp and Head Skate Coach Jamie, Billy, Pete, Nick, Jeff, Jasper, and more have been busy this year pouring a huge new street section to add to The Concrete Jungle.  Right before camp the skate coaches painted the park bright red and yellow.
