Take me back Tuesday: Eric Willett plays tag back

For this week’s Take me back Tuesday, we go back to Session 5, with one of our favorite guest pros, Eric Willett. You have probably seen Eric crushing slopestyle competitions here, here and here (there’s more than that, of course)–to say Eric’s an incredible rider is to put it lightly. He rips! But, maybe you didn’t know, that in addition to putting down big spins, double corks, and rail combos consistently, Eric also really good at playing tag back, a game he invented at camp last summer.

What’s tag back? Well, two people match up against each other in tag back. Each player holds the end of a Vans T-shirt in one hand and a Vans sticker in the other hand. The object of the game was to slap your  sticker on the back of the other player before they could get it on yours. Sounds easy but it got pretty crazy and was more challenging than you would think.

John Shaw is a purebred powder hound that hails from the northwest. Shaw has come to Windells the last two summers to coach snowboarding and give back to the sport he loves so much. RED Dry Slope Rail Jam – Session 5

When you take into account all the activities Windells has to offer, you realize it truly is “The Funnest Place on Earth!” They have everything; dry slope, airbag, paint-balling, rafting, BMX, trampolines, foam pit, BOB, and the famous concrete jungle to skate. The dry slope is one of the few activities where you can snowboard or ski, and learn tricks off the hill. Session 5 there was lots of dry slope activity, and the campers were getting their tricks dialed for the RED dry slope contest. Session 5 Ski Recap Mega Post


Here is the long awaited Traveling Circus week at Windells! The crew rolled in fresh from a trip to Whistler to be welcomed to some good weather. The daily events ended up making campers push their limits to get the ever-popular free swag. Activities got interesting to say the least.

Summer’s more than halfway over and at Windells, we’re trying to figure out where the time has gone (it probably has something to do with all of the snowboarding and skating we’ve been doing the last two months). Ian and Sev put on a game of SKATE — Session 5

Our awesome skate coaches Ian Neal and Sev Boosinger put on clinics and skate contests EVERY DAY for all campers. Whether you ski, snowboard, skate, or BMX during the day, you can participate in the skate events in the afternoon and evening. Learn new tricks, take the kickflip challenge, get slappy on the curbs, and play games of SKATE.
