Six down, one to go, and still riding down to the parking lot. What a summer it’s been. Session 6 couldn’t have been any better. We had a ton of fun riding the park and sunny skies everyday.

The Surface team dropped in at Windells for skiing, skating, games, and even tie dying.

Bobby Brown takes 1st,Elias Ambuhl in 2nd and Goepper takes 3rd!

This is the 2nd consecutive podium for the Indiana native within the past two weeks. After getting 3rd place at the North Face Open and his performance at the Dew Tour qualifiers, Goepper was invited to compete at Killington as a “wild card”. Goepper proved to be just that and impressed the judges when he went big for his final run of the slope style event; lipslide 270 on the down rail, 540 switch up on the flat down box to cork 630 out on the up box and a left 9 and switch right double 9, to right 12 on the jumps. Goepper is currently ranked 14th overall in the Dew Tour.

As the Dew Tour packs up and heads to Utah for its final stop, Goepper will be back on the road as well. Colorado, Utah, New Hampshire, Vermont and even France are on the list of destinations for Goepper this season. Colorado is the next stop where the SIA, Big Air competition will be held in Denver. As he continues to compete in professional events the possibility of attending major competitions like the X Games and Deer Valley World Cup could very well become a reality for Goepper. The 2010/11 season is the year of the “wild card” and we are excited to see what Goepper has in store for the remainder of the season.

SkiDazzle gave winter hungry Californians a taste of Mt. Hood, and Windells was more than happy to get the crowds excited for a season of freshies in Oregon. Our progression sessions at both Sacramento and Los Angeles SkiDazzle events allowed first time skiers and snowboarders to get hands on training. Participants had the opportunity to learn the basics from our amazing coaches at Windells. Everyone from the four year olds to the fifty-eight year olds was wearing a giant smile. Skiing and snowboarding indoors in California? Yes please!

The event filled days of Ski Dazzle were topped off with our very own rail jam competition. Riders were challenged to pull their best tricks on artificial snow with the cheers of the crowd roaring on. X Games announcer Dave Duncan was there to pump up the fans and get the riders stoked.

The winners of the rail jam walked away with bags full of Windells shwag and some shiny medals to add to their bling. Two lucky competitors from each venue received a free session to Windells. Drayden Gardner from Los Angeles and Jonathan Reuter of Sacramento held their free session tickets high in the air as their families snapped photos. The Windells rail jam delivered an action packed event for all SkiDazzle viewers.

Whether you were competing in the rail jam, reaching out for a free beanie, or strapping into a snowboard for the first time, the Windells booth at SkiDazzle was the place to be! See you next time Cali.
