Campus BagJump

Thursday, April 29th, 2010

New for 2010 – a DrySlope Leading into jumps, launching campers into Windells BagJump.  This is being built as we speak on Windells 53 acre Private Campus.  It is nice having our own spot, it enables us to continue to grow the camp with the industry, this is something most other camps do not have the advantage to do.

It is hard to tell what is going on from this picture – but there he is, smoothing out the dirt.  You can see the flat area where the BAG will live, and then the DROP IN area is the zone up from there, that is partially cleared out!

Here is a picture of the DrySlope Frame.  100 percent recycled galvanized steal, Windells doing their part to be GREEN.  We are also building a DrySlope with 5 Jib Options – Stay Tuned for more info.

Bonfire & Salomon Backyard Bang

Monday, November 2nd, 2009

The Backyard Bang, a 3rd annual grass roots rail jam in downtown Portland.   Riders and Sponsors from around the region showed up at the crack of dawn to set up the event during torrential down pours, luckily the clouds broke around noon and the course was ready to go.  Downbox, Mini Kicker and two wall rides were the choices for Sawyer Dean, Austin Sweetin and Johhnie Paxson to name a few.   Spectators from Mt Hood down to Portland crowded into the alley way to watch the event but not before swinging by Windells in the tent village to grab some free stickers, candy and enter our Pumpkin Carving Contest. (It was Halloween)  20 competitors carved  and one lucky winner walked away with a Windells Dakine Pack full of Atmosphere, Bonfire, Dakine and Chaos gear.
