SUMMER CAMPS
Your first time at Windells feels like you just stepped into action sports Nirvana. World-class snowboarding, skateboarding, freeskiing, BMX and more are always at your disposal.
Windells leads in terrain park innovation, variety and creativity. The jumps, jibs and halfpipes are legendary, known for attracting the world’s most talented snowboarders and freeskiers. In fact every US Olympic snowboard medalist to date has been a camper at Windells over the years. Shaun White was a camper from age 6 to 12. Windells parks can extend up to a mile long during the summer months with two private lifts accessing our main parks and Timberline’s mile chair lift accessing our lap park.
The skateboard facility at Windells Camp has been an annual expansion project since 1989 and today it makes up the Northwest’s most creative & largest indoor and outdoor skate parks, now totaling over 50,500 square foot. Who’s who in the skateboarding industry can be seen skating Windells each year. Portland has been labeled the skateboard capitol of the World by the Wall Street Journal in 2009 and campers have the freedom skate all of it.
BMX riding continues to progress and Windells is right there with it, redesigning our BMX facilities and programs to help entice pros from around the globe to come ride.
The fun doesn’t stop when the chairlifts close. On Windells private campus we have two Dry Slopes with rails, boxes and an Air Bag that you can launch into, not to mention the crazy amount of structured activities/games held. Windells staff hosts up to 6 activities an hour from 3 pm to 10 pm daily. These activities include both traditional and non-traditional camp activities — everything from beginner skateboarding clinics, BMX races, Rome’s Slasher Night, slip & slide, Knock Out, Jousting, paintball, challenge courses, Simon Says, Dodge Ball, Karaoke/Rap Battle, dance parties and making custom stickers or T-shirts.
