2) Bonfire Snowboarding launched its brand at Windells Snowboarding Camp in 1988.

3) Tim Windell still owns the North American speed record.

4) Craig Kelly and Tim Windell ran the first freestyle snowboarding camp during the summer in Europe.

5) Windells was featured in XBox’s first snowboard game.

6) Ryan Sheckler left Windells a couple of days early to compete in the Slam City Jam in Vancouver BC and won a new truck. He was 13 years old at the time.

7) Sammy Carlson pretty much grew up at Windells.

8) Danny Kass was a former camper of Windells at the same time his brother Matt was a coach. The two-time Olympic silver medalist is on the poster that Windells distributed over 250,000 copies of.

9) Grenade launched their brand at Windells.

10) Rome launched their brand at Windells and Windells is still the only snowboard camp Rome supports to this day.

11) Premier Snowskates launched its brand at Windells.

12) Windells store once had the highest sales of Skull Candy in the world.

13) Mt. Hood used to be the best sales region in the US for Von Zipper, thanks to Windells coaches Von Archer and Von Los.

14) The Frends crew were all former Windells campers.

15) Tim Windell holds 9 national titles and was twice snowboarding’s World 2nd Overall.

16) Without skiing, snowboarding would be nowhere near where it is today.

17) Skiing’s first introduction to Windells was in 1988 from halfpipe digger, Tom Riggins, who still holds the title of World Powder 8’s champion.

18) Every US Olympic Medalist to date has been though Windells — 16 in all.

19) Windells was the official camp of US Snowboarding.

20) Three of the stars in the movie Jackass used to work for Windells.

21) Bam Margera has been through Windells.

22) Tony Hawk’s Boom Boom Huck Jam stopped at Windells for a couple of nights.

23) Windells has been featured in Outside Magazine twice.

24) Tanner Hall used to hang out in Windells coaches’ housing.

25) Mt. Hood’s largest summer jump to date was at Windells in summer 2008 — an 85 ft step up, featured in No Correct Way and Level 1.

26) The largest hip jump on Mt. Hood to date was at Windells, as featured in the Red Bull movie Massive.

27) Windells hip jump was so big Red Bull brought in a helicopter in to film it, which was the first ever seen on Hood during the summer months.

28) Windells was the first camp to purchase its own property back in 1995.

29) Eddie Wall came to Windells as a skateboarder and left as a pro snowboarder after one summer of working at Windells.

30) Louie Vito was a camper from age 6 to 15 and still comes to Windells year after year.

31) Shaun White was a camper from the ages of 6 to 12.

32) Kevin Pearce was on the cover of Windells brochure in 2004, when he was still a camper.

33) Luke and Jack Mitrani were both featured as team members in a Windells brochure.

34) Craig Kelly, Kelly Joe Legaz, Kerri Hannon and Tim Windell ran the first freestyle snowboarding camps in Whistler.

35) Tim Windell ran the first snowboarding camp in Japan.

36) Tim Windell opened Crested Butte to snowboarding.

Windells was great! I learned a lot in the skate parks and on the hill. Hanging around the camp was fun and the staff were very nice and helpful. Next year I want to stay more than one session!
