Adult Camp
Embrace your inner kid with a session at Adult Camp. Don’t let the term “camp” fool you though. Windells caters to all ages and abilities, if you’re 18 or 80, you’re still a camper at the “Funnest Place on Earth.” The definition of “camper” changes when you’re in adult camp., though! Instead of a counselor, you have an adult host, who is your guide through a week packed with snowboarding, skiing, skateboarding and a variety of nighttime activities.
Adult Camp enjoys all of the benefits of our youth camps—professional coaching, access to Windells private campus and facilities, free demos of next year’s gear, and participation in on hill and off hill activities—including foam pit and trampoline clinics, bmx lessons, sponsor nights, movie premieres, visiting pro activities, and more. Along with tall of hese things, adult camp enjoys its own adult-only, because Windells understands the best ways to be a kid, when you’re an adult!
Adult campers are placed in adult-only coaching groups with coaches that will cater to each individual’s ability and learning style. Head to and from the mountain in your own shuttles. Off hill, take in Portland and the surrounding areas on nightly outings. Sushi night is an adult camp favorite: along with sake and sashimi, enjoy taking part (or watching) wasabi eating contests, where campers win prizes from sponsors like Burton and Thirtytwo. During adult skate night, Windells’ indoor skatepark and training facility, BOB, is open for a private night session once the rest of camp is asleep. Skating, jumping on trampolines and flying into the foam pit in an empty BOB is a treat!
Windells makes sure that your stay is comfortable. Adult accommodations are separate from the main campus giving adults the freedom to do adult things! Demo a new set up over at camp, then head back to the Adult House to relax on the porch or play a game of pool. By providing a variety of social settings, Windells Adult Camp creates a camaraderie within the group, prompting many adult campers to use their vacation weeks to return to camp, year after year. Whether it is an adult only paintball game, late night skate session, a trip to famous Portland eatery McMinnimins, après at Wing Night or a Windells backyard BBQ, adults are brought together to get to know one another and try out new activities.
“What makes adult camp different? The kids have lights out and you don’t. The one thing that our Pro Coaches do as good as their coaching, is having a good time.” Adult Camper – Ed Wall Sr.
