Summer 2011 comes to an end…

Summer 2011 has come to an end. It’s always sad to see it go, but it was an amazing season filled with so much snowboarding, skiing, skateboarding, bmxing, so many sponsor activities, on hill competitions, visiting pros to meet and watch shred…there was so many fun things to do, it went by so quickly!

It’s hard to pick out just a few favorite moments from summer 2011–there’s so many to chose from, but we gave it a shot. Luckily, Windells is year round, so the awesome times don’t have to stop! Open skate and bmx is happening on the weekends all fall. If you live in the Northwest, come skate the Concrete Jungle and BOB. After that, it’s time for winter and spring camps!

Atmosphere skate and bmx contests – Session 8

Session 8 was full on skate and bmx camp at Windells and Atmosphere Clothing was there with a contest for all of the campers. The Atmosphere crew took over BOB, holding a best trip on the Euro gap for skateboarders and a two run jam for the bmx’ers. Winners earned Atmopshere gear! New for Windells this Summer

Summer is right around the corner. Only a few more weeks until Session 1 starts our season off with a bang! Whether this is your first summer here or your 12th, everyone will be excited about the new additions to Windells. We have been working hard to make sure 2011 is the best yet. Take a look at all our new features:

  • Be prepared, this summer Windells will have 4 air bags!
  • A new concrete street course was added to the Concrete Jungle, and the concrete is still being poured for more!
  • Windells will have two rope tows accessing our park with 15 new features!
  • BOB, our indoor skatepark, got a nice new makeover and it rides better then ever.
  • The campus is ready to go and green friendly with fresh paint and all new energy saving windows.
  • We are now the proud owners of two new buses sponsored by Skullcandy and Neff!
  • Our on campus jib line has a whole new set up and along with the dry slope for the airbag jump.
  • The dirt tracks are being rebuilt and we are stocking campus with more BMX bikes for everyone to use.
  • The demo shed is full to the brim with next year’s product for the campers to test out all summer long.
  • Snowboards, boots, bindings, skis, ski boots, ski poles and skate decks are new and ready to get checked out.

Windells Weekend – Game of Skate & Bike

This past weekend Windells staff decided to organize a couple games of Skate and Bike for the kids that come to Open Skate.  We enjoy putting on contests for you to win prizes so what better way then a good old fashion game of S-K-A-T-E.

Hours of Open Skate/Bike are as follows:  Friday 5-10pm, Saturday & Sunday 9-5pm However we are closed when Camp is in Session!

New for this summer is an exclusive Skate and BMX only session:  August 16 – 22nd!  Get your shred on at Windells Campus, featuring one of the best Concrete Skateparks in the world!  With over 50,500 square feet of skatepark and 4 acres of BMX dirt jumps there is something for everyone to ride.  During your stay at Windells you will be riding in small groups with your Professional Coach, to ensure progression.  Campers walk away with an experience that last a lifetime.

Windells Weekends!!

Windells Camp has opened their 53 acre private campus to the public! Every weekend skaters, bikers, bladers, scooters and new for this year – snowboarders and skiers are welcome to hit the dry slope! Loaded with 50,500 sq ft of indoor and outdoor skate and bmx park:  dryslope jib line; launch ramps into a foam pit and olympic trampolines.  Open to all ages!

$10 for Skaters/Bladers/Scooters
$15 for Skiers & Snowboarders
$20 for BMX/Freeride MTB (NO PEGS)

Plan your weekend around Windells!
•    Friday’s from 5pm to 10pm
•    Saturday’s from 9am to 5pm
•    Sunday 9am to 5 pm
•    Also available for Private Rental!

Windells Weekends will be open all weekends throughout the Winter and Spring except when camp is in session 3/18-4/3; 4/15-4/24).  Cash only please. All Ages Must Wear a Helmet. See you there!

Windells Weekends Start Friday August 20th

Looking for something to do this weekend?  not come out and check out Windells 50,500 sq ft Concrete Jungle?  If you are wanting to BMX check out our amazing dirt tracks, with rollers and jumps, recently featured in the 2010 Gatorade Free Flow Contest.  Launch into the foam pit or jump on the trampolines in B.O.B (aka Building Out Back) our 12,500 sq ft Indoor Skate Park.  It’s easy, grab your friends, fill out the Windells Waiver, sign it, and bring it with you to the “funnest” place on earth!

$10 if your skating, blading or scootering
$20 if your riding BMX or MTB.
