Checking in with Winter Camp

We don’t want to make anyone jealous, but the weather for our Winter Camp session has been unreal. With a solid two weeks of snowfall giving way to day after day of bright sunny skies, our campers are in powder paradise. It’s as if Mother Nature knew that Winter Camp was coming up, and delivered a picture perfect week just for us. Wahoo! The crew has been smiling big every morning and snapping photos to document how amazing these past few days have been. Now, we said we didn’t want to make you jealous, but we just can’t help it. The Countdown to Keystone Camp

With only two weeks remaining, we can’t wait to hit the road to Colorado. Windells weekend camp series ‘On The Road’ will be kicking off in Keystone, Colorado for 2 days of coaching, activities, and so much more! A51 will become the “funnest” place on earth for an entire weekend with your help.

Persuasion is an art form. It takes practice and a great deal of planning to carry out a successful sweet talking mission. We know you want to come to Windells this summer, but some of you might need to get that seal of approval before the bags are packed. We’re here to help! Show your parent/guardian these helpful videos. Remember, make eye contact, speak quietly, and beg only if worse comes to worst. Lucky for us, the sun was shining and the concrete was dry for a long summer of skateboarding in Oregon. With one of the best skateparks in the Northwest right in our backyard, we had our fair share of visits from the Nation’s top skaters. Head Skate Coach Jamie Weller brought his crew from Usurper Skateboards to Windells for a couple days to film and get the campers stoked. When he’s not skiing with Saga and the 4bi9 crew in the summer, he’s skating around Windells. Checking in with Rome at the Dirksen Derby

For the 6th year in a row, the Dirksen Derby at Mt.Bachelor delivered an unforgettable weekend. We tagged along with our friends at Rome Snowboards for a 3 day adventure filled with pow lines, great friends, amazing snowboarding, and a competition that rivals all others. Josh Dirksen has created a one of a kind event that reminds us all why we snowboard. Seasoned locals, the Northwest’s finest, and even the world’s best head out to Bend, OR for a snake run like course that pushes snowboarders to ride the snow wave as fast as they can. Needless to say, this event has everyone grinning from ear to ear. Raising money for a great cause, the Rome Team joined in on the action. Windells Indoor Skatepark: Portland’s Hidden Gem

Portland, Oregon experiences about 160 days of rain a year. In other words, it’s wet. Skaters need to head indoors to feed their hunger, session ramps, and hang with friends. Luckily for us, we have a warehouse full to the brim with fun and creative features. Just 45 minutes outside of Portland, the Windells campus is the perfect place for all  eager skaters of the Pacific Northwest. It might be raining outside, but here at camp we stay dry and skate all day long. Jealous? Don’t be! You can get in on the action every weekend.
