Line Skis has a strong presence here at camp with coaches like Andy Perry, Will Wesson, Tyler Barnes and Windells Academy Head Ski Coach, Jeff Curry. These guys make sure the campers stay stoked through the entire session, not only though teaching on the hill, but through fun and creative off hill activities. Session 2 snowboard recap: Nike 6.0, Gremlinz, Voluerz, and more!
It’s almost the end of June and that means that Session 2 has just finished up at Windells Snowboard Camp. The first month of summer has been flying by, as every day has been packed full with fun activities on and off the hill. The Nike 6.0 Team hosted Session 2, and with all of the park laps, skating, and Zombie Dodgeball the riders were taking part in, it was hard to tell who was having the most fun: Mason Aguirre, Sage Kotsenburg, Greg Bretz, Matt Ladley, and Ellery Hollingsworth, or all of the campers they were hanging out with! Nike 6.0 Sage-a-palooza!
The Nike 6.0 team was at Windells Session 2 and they made it a memorable one. Sage Kotsenburg had his second annual birthday party here at Windells. The campers brought their gifts to present to Sage for the chance to be chosen to compete in a frosting eating contest. The campers were creative, from offering their snowboard, to bringing a puppet that was Sage’s number one fan. Ten lucky campers were picked to compete in the chance to win Nike boots and other 6.0 prizes. In the end lots of frosting was consumed in very little time, and a winner was crowned. Check out the photos below to see evidence of what went down… or came up…

Capita Chocolate Milk Challenge
The Capita crew came through Windells last week to promote their video project coming this fall called “Defenders of Awesome”, and give campers a chance to win some free stuff. Like always Capita came up with a creative way to find the kids deserving of free gear and they definitely earned it.
This game was pretty simple but had a disgusting mental twist to it. Each team started with a clean pair of unnecessarily large, white, mid-rise briefs and a white, paper cup. Then each team member ran the clean briefs over to a cooler full of thick, brown, chocolate milk. The “tighty-whities” acted as a sponge as the campers scampered back over to their cups with a handful of chocolate milk. Then they squeezed every bit of milk out of the underwear and then ran back to the cooler to fill up their underwear “sponge.” As soon as the cup was half full, they chugged the milk and pass the undies to the next teammate until all four team mates had finished a cup of chocolate milk. The winning team was hooked up with Capita gear and a free pair of briefs as a dirty souvenir. Here are some photos to help explain.
