Even though the beds at Windells match up perfectly, we’ve got so much extra space to do activities that we don’t need to stack them! Ride Field Day with Austin Hironaka has been going on all summer, so check out what thats all about. Gnu and Forest Bailey put on a pickle eating contest, which ended quite nicely with a pickle puker. Also, check out this montage of Session 4 & 5 activities including, Ride Field Day, The Dry Slopes, Technine Donut Eating, Dakine Waterballoons, Dance Parties, and many more.

Session 6 videos with some special guests!!

If you didn’t hear or see what happened at Windells Session 6 hold on to your butts, your in for a surprise! We had Del the Funky Homosapien and Bukue One at camp, in BOB, playing a private show for all of the campers and staff!! The stop at camp was part of their “Funk for Free” Tour and a big thanks goes out to Surface and Skullcandy playing an integral role in making it happen! We thought it would be fitting to use some of the music they played at camp in the session videos. Watch and Enjoy!

Camper of the Day: David

The days of summer shred are quickly coming to an end at Windells Camp but the private park continues to be hopping with skiers and snowboarders dialing in their tricks before the finale. Coach Brandon Cocard was with his campers lapping the rope tow to get the full rail session going on and that’s where we found 15 year old David from Lake Placid, NY standing out from the crowd and charging the park.

Sage Kotsenburg’s Birthday Party at camp

Sage Kotsenburg’s 17th birthday was during Session 6 and he decided to hold a birthday party at camp. Even though it was his bday, Sage is so generous, he decided to give away a new Capita snowboard to a camper. In order to win the snowboard, campers had five minutes to run around camp and find a birthday present for Sage. He didn’t have to keep the present, but it had to be impressive enough that Sage and fellow judges, Forest Bailey, Eric Willett and Zak Hale deemed the gift good enough to put the person giving it, into finals to win the snowboard. During finals, containers of frosting were handed out and the first person to finish all of the frosting won the board. Check out the photos. Happy Birthday Sage! Continue reading →

Snowboard coaches Moss and Droid have the adult campers this session and within their group we found 27 year old Jon from San Francisco who is back at Windells for his 3rd summer.

How many times have you come to Windells Camp?
Jon: This is my 3rd year coming to Windells.

What makes you keep coming back?
Jon: This is the most fun every summer and it fulfills my dire need for shred during the off-season.
