During Session 3, Rome’s Laurent-Nicolas Paquin and Staale Sandbech were at camp and they even stopped by ladies night to say what’s up to the campers! They both were really good sports and got a thumb painted. Don’t they look nice?

Camper of the Day: Alessa
Each session at Windells over the summer we have a handful of girl riders and skiers who come to camp for progression and work to perfect their skills on the snow. At session 4, the ski girls were divided into 2 girls only groups led by coaches Ashley and Dania. Coach Ashley recommended Alessa a 16 year old skier from Mars, Pennslyvania for “being the most progressive camper this session, Alessa was amazing to coach since she would listen to feedback and apply it to her next run. She’d get back up until she got it”
Donut eating contest with the Technine Team
Technine riders MFM, Dylan Thompson, Ben Bilodeau Jeremy, and Brady have been at camp this week. They set up a sick Dream Feature on hill, complete with a dumpster-jump with an actual dumpster, a wallride, jersey barrier and all sorts of other fun features. Down at camp, Ben and Brady have been skating a ton and everyone has been hanging out. Earlier in the session, they put on the Technine Powdered Donut Eating Competition. Each camper had to eat 15 mini donuts the fastest, in order to win new gear from Technine. It was awesome and ended in the biggest donut food fight that you will have to see in video when the Windells film crew releases the edit. Donuts have always been pretty delicious, but Technine made them really fun, too! [Read more...]

Sushi night with the adult campers
The adult campers that come to Windells get the camp experience that the kids get but also the adult freedom of fun nightlife and dinners together. Last night was the group sushi dinner where the adult campers trekked out of the mountains and into a delicious Japanese restaurant for sushi/noodle dinner.

Camper of the Day: Chloe
The warm weather continues to bless the campers at Session 4 of Windells Camp and under the sun campers of all ability levels are dialing in their tricks before they go back home. Snowboard Coach Billy Rodriguez named his campers Team Awesome crew for session 4 and inside the Team Awesome group we found 12 year Chloe from New York who came to Windells to progress her park riding.

Triple Corks at Windells
I am sure that everyone has already seen this video, Sammy Carlson tossing a triple on Windells 110 foot jump, but here it is again. Its UNREAL.
I also wanted to point out that SCI was epic and all of the riders had a great time and although no one else went for the trips, the tricks thrown were still amazing! Below are some pics to get an idea of how massive our jump was.

Camper of the Day: Philippe
The warm bluebird days have arrived just in time for the session 4 campers to lap a variety of features in our private park at Timberline. So far this summer we’ve had quite the French-Canadian invasion at camp so it was no surprise to have 16 year old Philippe from Quebec be chosen for today’s Camper of the Day.
