Camper of the Day: Chloe

The warm weather continues to bless the campers at Session 4 of Windells Camp and under the sun campers of all ability levels are dialing in their tricks before they go back home.  Snowboard Coach Billy Rodriguez named his campers Team Awesome crew for session 4 and inside the Team Awesome group we found 12 year Chloe from New York who came to Windells to progress her park riding.

How do you like Windells Camp so far?
Chloe: I love it, it’s great! All the other campers are really nice.

Why did you choose to come here?
Chloe: Me and my sister have actually been thinking about it for a few years. We snowboard in Vermont at Stratton Mountain and every year they have the US Open there with a Windells tent there so they talked us into it.

How do you like the park today?
Chloe: It’s pretty nice, it’s good snow and it’s not bad when you fall.

What features are you hitting?
Chloe: I’m hitting the little jump, boxes and rails.

What tricks do you want to get this session?
Chloe: 360, nose grab, 540.

Who is your coach and how do you like the coaching?
Chloe: My coach is Billy Rodriguez. He’s helped me to have confidence in trying to do a 360, also have confidence in trying to ollie onto rails.

How do you like the on-campus activities?
Chloe: I did yoga the other day which was fun. Yesterday I did the girls trampoline session. I took a skateboarding lesson from Lisa which wasn’t easy to learn but I might keep trying.

Have you tried out any demo boards from the demo center?
Chloe: Not yet but I think I’m going to demo tomorrow. Maybe the Burton lip-stick or a Ride snowboard.

Congrats to Chloe for standing out in session 4 and working her hardest to dial in those tricks this summer! Stay tuned for more Campers of the Day as session 4 continues on!
