I wanted to show everybody the progress of the Campus Dryslope Jib Line at Windells. It is not completely done yet but will definitely be up and ready for Session 1! There are going to be 4 or 5 jib options down the run. This is going to compliment the Campus BagJump very well. Now campers will be able to dial in rail and jump tricks on campus, and then take it to the snow the next day! This is a big step forward for Windells, always progressing!
Why is it Green You ask?
The slope of the Hill is the slope, limited structure.
The frame used for Jib Slope is 100 percent recycled galvanized Steel
The rails & boxes used are scrap pieces from old Windells features re-birthed
The supports and railings are previously downed trees
This is a very unique project and Windells is glad to be a part of it! The Funnest Place on Earth!
Windells Camp is proud to welcome Dave Boldwin to Hood this summer, as the new Snowboard Head Coach.
Known as Danger Dave to peers, admirers and fellow snowboard coaches, Boldwin hails from Vermont, where he grew up slashing the icy slopes of Stowe and Smuggler’s Notch. He began coaching seven years ago under the tutelage of US Team Coach, Bud Keene, at the Mount Mansfield Snowboard Club. Over the course of his career, Danger has helped young Vermont riders rise up through the ranks of snowboarding, coached at the Project Gold Camps and currently works as a private coach, traveling with some of the best up and coming riders to competitions around the world. His coaching ability is matched only by his karaoke talent, making him an ideal fit for both the on-hill experience at Windells as well as the Rock Band competitions back on campus.
Says Tim Windell, “I’m excited to have a person that has world coaching experience, a level three certification, and who coaches the best up and coming kids, at the head of our coaching program. I think it’s a big step forward. Having Windells’ Head Coach come from Project Gold Camp at Mammoth, right to Windells for the summer is great. It’s the ideal match.”
Danger agrees, “I was honored to receive the phone call from Tim, a legend in snowboarding and someone who has made many kids’ dreams comes true. To be involved in a program with such a highly respected individual in the snowboard community is something I am really looking forward to it. I’ve always valued the summer experience at Hood and excited to finally be a part of it. I’m excited to get in there with a bunch of kids that are ready to have fun and to help them progress their snowboarding while having the best summer experience at Hood.”
Welcome to the “funnest” place on Earth, Danger!

I’ve made a few posts lately about what New features Windells will have this summer on the snow. At that time they were just ideas and sketches. Last night, Jared from Kab Rails dropped off the new features and they look amazing. Check em out and let us know what you think. The unfinished wood will be painted up and ready to jib, I have never seen these here at Hood, but I hear it is all the rave in Utah.
This Stair set is not connected to a box or rail feature. It is a 10 foot stair case that the diggers can put anywhere! Time to be creative.
