The Nike 6.0 Team and friends are up here this session and they started off their visit by getting up early, heading up to Timberline and building an awesome Dream Feature. Trevor Jacobs, Brock Waring, Ross Baker, Mark Reining and Dylan Bidez collaborated on a feature that puts everything they like to ride all in one spot. Coach Pat Milbery was on site helping make everything happen and was nice enough to shoot some photos of the guys bringing their idea to fruition.
These guys aren't afraid to get their hands dirty making something they want to shred. (L to R) Brock, Ross, Trevor, Dylan, our diligent cat driver Jake Ingle and Mark

Jake Black, known for his style on his snowboard, his short shorts, and his superior counselor skills, launched a sneak attack on friends and Nike 6.0 team riders Ross Baker, Trevor Jacobs, Broc Waring and Dylan Bidez, who were fulfilling some paparazzi duties on a picnic table near an egg and spoon race. Jake has a good arm, but his throw was no match for the four guys that jumped up, grabbed eggs and raced after him. Here’s the aftermath.
The egg Jake threw landed right between Ross and Trevor
Jake got some egg in his hair, which he later claimed made his hair softer and more luxurious. As if it wasn't luxurious enough already.
Session one has come and gone. Jumps were hit, bowls were slashed, marshmellows were toasted, counselors were hit in the face with pies–it was an awesome session. Here’s a few photos to check out…

One of the most hilarious activities all week is the "smash your counselor or coach in the face with a pie". It never stops being funny!
‘
Seriously, it never stops being funny, no matter how many times you see your coach or counselor get hit in the face wit a pie

It’s a vicious circle, the choice between snow blindness and looking like a chipmunk. Wear your sunscreen children!!!
First Place trophy proudly kept inside the Windells family. Nice work boys and girls..
It was standing room only for the pipe to pipe audiences. Some even resorted to laying in the foam pit for the majority of the competition. An awesome event put on by Bonfire, Windells, and Redbull.
Stolen Mary Photo, but seriously this was an amazingly fun event. Spectators had tons to do, got to tour campus, and most importantly watched an amazing contest. There are two more dates, so check back often and sign up for Pipe to Pipe!
Bonfire’s first Pipe 2 Pipe went down a few days ago here at Windells and even though a little bit of fog rolled in during the contest, Windells staff emerged from the clouds to lay down bangers and take both first and third for the snowboarding portion of the day. Scott Hoffman, one of the diggers, took home first place and 500 bucks and Windells veteran, Jeremiah Paquette landed himself in third place and grabbed 100 bucks.
Scott Hoffman took first and 500 bucks on hill with some jib trickery
Windells: You just won five hundred bucks–what are your plans for said money?
Scotty: I am going to save my money for a snowmobile.
Windells: So it was a pretty good day, overall?
It was really fun. Everybody was having a lot of fun and basically it was the funnest day of my life. The set up was really fun, it was like a down flat rail and a down-flat-down rail and I gapped it and a down rail. All the rails were really smooth. It was basically the best thing I could have asked for. [And] we sang the national anthem, me and Kyle [Martola], yesterday morning when we were grooming the park.
Windells: So it would be like a baseball game?
Scotty: Exactly.
Windells: So you think that might have given you the extra edge in the competition?
Scotty: Uh huh. Straight American.
Jeremiah (on right) gets by with a little help from his friends.
Windells: I hear this is your first cash money victory.
Jeremiah: It is. Big Money. I’ve always won weird things like tshirts and hats, stickers, [but] always looking out for the money. It took about 13 years in the making in my snowboarding career. We pulled through in the end.
Windells: What was the height of your trickery in the comp?
Jeremiah: Probably the 5050 noseblunt slide on the down-flat-down rail.
Windells: How long before you go pro?
Tentatively, it’s scheduled for the ’13-’14 season, so I got a couple more years. [I'm] working on some moves, but I think I’ll get there.
Some wonderful news has been brought to this bloggers attention. Tim Windell has EXTENDED his FREE SESSION offer to anyone willing to write an essay about why they deserve the free session. The deadline is now midnight JULY 6th so don’t pass this up again. Think of it as that extra week extension from your English teacher. And just like your English Teacher, Windells has created an outline for you, so all you have to do is input your own information.
The BMX and Free Ride Mountain Bike trails have been getting heavy sessions. Here are a few of the highlights. Doing this proper table over the hip is head trail builder Scott Draper. Rome sponsor night went off during Session One. Slasher Night had a group of staff chasing around campers in a manhunt-style game where when a camper was tagged, their neck was slashed with red marker. Campers ran and hid in order to be the last survivor. Check out some photos and then get out to Windells so you can play at Slasher Night and win some Rome gear!
